A wacky bootable/live DVD...

I tried to get and install BeOS and I discovered a reality I have never imagined as possible - creating a data/bootable CD with 2 data tracks - the first data track is boot.iso (which corresponds to the BeOS' boot floppy), and the second data track is beos.img (which corresponds to the BeOS itself). If you have never knew to build a BeOS CD, you may think I am fool; but if you already tried BeOS you know what I am talking about...
My question is - can I make a bootable DVD using Linux's dd command ? I thought to make a first data track called boot.img (using dd if=/dev/hda of=/home/user/boot.img count=1 bs=512), and a second data track called whole_disk.img (using dd if=/dev/hda of=/home/user/hdd.img). To finish just making a cue file :
FILE "boot.img" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "hdd.img" BINARY
TRACK 02 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00
Is this possible ? How can I put my HDD into a bootable DVD (8.5 GB) ? How to make a customized Linux or Windows boot/live CD/DVD ?

Well, I'm not exactly sure about your question but I'll try to answer the last question.

You can create a Windows live cd using BartPE that can be found at the following URL.

This is VERY interesting.  Sounds like BeOS has figured out a good plan to coexist with MS boot loader.  suspect that the BEoS is hard coded to look for the boot sector on sector 1 head 0 of track 0, since DOS/Win boot loader is sector 0 track 0 head 0.  There is room in the H/T/C before the DOS/Win fat, to add other info. This way, a BeOS can nicely coexist with the windows boot loader.  If that is true, this is smart programming.

Since you have discovered a BeOS niche in the boot load track 0, I wouldnt worry about it.  It seems BeOS has found the niche that no one else looks for.  So you boot this DVD from Raw system, and it loads Win/DOS, but if you boot DVD with BeOS installed, it will look on that palce of track 0 and reboot the BeOS from the DVD ??

BartPE allows to create a customized Windows live CD/DVD :)
How to create a create a customized Linux live CD/DVD ?
How to create a create a customized Multi-OS live DVD ? (for example a live DVD with a boot loader that allows to choose between live Windows or live Linux or live BeOS)

Those are dual boots, what you described above is not a dual boot.
