Hi, I need lots of reliable proxies, I would be willing to pay for it if it's reliable, does anyone know where I can get them? There seems to be many publicly available proxy list out there but it seems like they're not reliable. Are there private list of proxies that aren't available to the public? These proxies must be located in the US or with US IPs.

That sure is a big list. Ironically enough, it doesn't have the site that I usually use... and the first hit that Google returns for "free proxy":

Well, as I stated, I wanted reliable proxies, most of these sites when I put the proxy on my proxy program, it doesn't work very well usually.

I would try Hide IP Platinum or Steganos Internet Anonym Pro.

many of the proxies on "free" lists are indeed not really "public" proxies. they've been sniffed out as being insecure and open, and are not necessarily provided to the public at large by the server owner.

and they're free, so you've got virtually no assurance that the one you pick will even be around tomorrow.  unencrypted free proxies send all your net traffic through UNKNOWN third parties. could be people sniffing for usernames & passwords, or other personal information, could be operated by law enforcement, restrictive governments, or the evil empires from riaa, mpaa, etc... you never know.

your best bet is to subscribe to an anonymizing service like -- they've been around for years and aren't going anywhere.

and another excellent option is the onion router (tor)... which is based on free and open source software and uses a network of encrypted relay servers operated by volunteers. transmissions are encrypted and passed through multiple hops, with each hop only knowing its direct source and destination. only the entrance server knows your origin ip, and only the exit point knows the true destination. the exit point is the only hop that sees any unencrypted data as it communicates with the destination server.

note that the outgoing ip's of most known free and subscription proxies are filtered or blocked by some web sites and email servers, etc, mainly to prevent abuse through these 'public' ip addresses... for instance: mail servers that filter for spam may automatically reject mail that originates from a known public proxy ip address. services like block access to their web site to cut down on abuse of their free services (which includes whois lookups that contain contact information for domains).

What I really need is the IP address of proxies I can use... doesn't look like anonymizer have this service? I'm looking for quite a long list of proxies that are reliable.. not browser-based proxies.. the actual proxy addresses... doesn't look like I can use tor?
