Wireless, and wired. Can they work together?

Here's a brief explanation.

There is a small office network with two computers and a network printer wired to a linksys switch. They are all static ips, 192.0.0.X

The two computers get internet through a wireless PCI card in the machines that connects to an AP across the street. The AP assigns 192.168.1.X.

They want to be able to share files and the printer over the wired LAN. But their internet is over the wireless. Whenever both network devices are enabled, neither functions.

Is there any way to tell IE what connection to use for it's internet access (and along the same line, tell Outlook)

Anyone have some ideas?

you should not use both a wireless nic and wired nic at the same time with xp.
your computer can only be assigned one IP address.

have you considered RDP from one computer on one network to another computer on the other network?

Hi hardlines,

there is a limit to one gateway at a time when using windows, this will not work, you need to choose wired, or wireless

you can use two gateways with limited results, on your second gateway give it a network metric of two and for the primary make it automatic.

No points were assigned, because no solution was offered. The solution that worked was bridging the two connections.

there was a solution given:  choose one or the other, you can't ask for things that can't be done, it is wired or wireless

Actually, it works just fine with both wired and wireless when XP bridges the connections. However, no one suggested that as a solution. Should I assign points to invalid responses?
