Knoppix Linux and Win2K

I want to make a diagram of each OS schema for Knoppix and Windows 2K.  I have never done this kind of schema and I plan to draw it in Visio.  Can someone tell me what kind of pertinent information I can include my OS schema to compare and contrast both OS?
