Leave Callvantage

I would like to leave AT&T's Callvantage service but retain my phone number. Is this possible? I have heard that VOIP does not have the local number portability.

Any suggestions?

My best advice:

Call the telco to which you are switching and ask them (and if it is possible, try to get them to do it for you)...
