progress bar

i have 2 cgi pages
a button on test1.cgi
when user clicks on button user is directed to test2.cgi
problem is test2.cgi takes 20 to 30 sec to execute, and the browser shows test1.cgi for those 20 secs.....this can be a bad impression on the user, he might think nothing is happening...
is there a way i can show a progress bar displaying some message.....

i don't want to show % and fancy stuff....
i just want to show something we see while attaching file on yahoo....just a bar, just to make sure something is happening in background....

The most easy way I can recommend you handle this is using javascript.  Just embed the java script you find inside your cgi script at the very top of the script, it will display as the rest of the script is being loaded.  Seach the web for "javascript page loaders" or "javascript status bar".  There is no easier way of doing what you are trying to do in pure perl language on a webserver.
