Auto-Archive Max file Size

Hello All,

I am running outlook 2003 and I am running auto-archive every 7 days and archiving messages older than 3 months.

When auto archive ran today it said that archive.pst has reached its maximum filesize. I checked the sizes of my .pst files and they are as below:

outlook.pst = 1.25 GB
archive.pst = 1.92 GB

I found this MSDN article that explains how to configure the maximum pst file size but the registry keys from this article do not exist: http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;832925

How can increase the maximum filesize?

Or.

How can i setup outlook to archive direclty to the disk in a file/folder format where every email message is stored as an individual file?

Thanks,

Matt

P.S. Please do not suggest just deleting messages to increase space as that is not an option.

Greetings, maclema !

With Outook 2003, you should be able to use PST greater than 2 GB. The PST format must be unicode (~20GB limit) instead of ansii (2 GB limit).  If you want to put everything in one file, create an new archive.pst file and drag the emails to the new file.

Best wishes!
