Hi chuang4630,
Since every other ERP or Legacy program uses a third party application to produce reports like Crystal Reports, and the workflow can be as sophisticated as you want to make it.   For example, I was part of a team that wrote a very robust Customer Relationship Manager application, I had a suite of Notes Reports for three different accounting departments:  Margin Reports culled from two or three database sources, compiled and produced online, excel or PDF format.

Domino.Doc is the latest incarnation of Notrix that  manages document workflow both in and outside of Notes.

Notes does integrate with Crystal Reports, the Web, Fax, Email, Databases, etc.

Regards!

This is a pretty weak area for Lotus Notes.
Lotus Notes is not great at creating reports (I assume this is what you mean?)
You would best be using something like Crystal Reports to collect and publish the data from Lotus Notes views.

Am I way off what you meant here?

Content Publishing means that the author can submit the document for approval; then publish to document library/web/etc.. It also provides the versioning capabilities.

Yup, not a problem, you have the domino.doc, or you can create your own, or you can purchase a solution.  Levels of approvals, and versioning.

Ok, I get ya - yes this is also possible. You can also create this in-house yourself through Domino Designer
