    Accepted Solution

Which version of Exchange is this?
You need either a 3rd party spam filter for this or Intelligent Message filter, available on MS site.

The "Exchange Server Intelligent Message Filter Overview" white paper for Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 is available

The Microsoft Exchange Intelligent Message Filter Deployment Guide is available

    Assisted Solution

The Intelligent Message Filter comes with Exchange 2003 Service Pack 2.

It's good as a free tool to block out spam, but there's very little you can configure yourself apart from the spam threshold levels - for instance, you cannot have safe senders, input your own phrases to be blocked etc.

If you are receiving a lot of unwanted messages, then I would recommend a tool such as Mailsweeper or Trend Micro anti-spam.
