Response docs

Hi there,

I have create response document from main docs via lotusscript. Today, I moved one of the field on the response document and recreated it and for some reason all the data for that field has dissappeared and although the name of the new field on the response document but it is all set to blank.

I have tried to recreate the field using make response property but I end up with a second blank response document. All what I need is to keep current response doc and repopulate the missing value of the missing field from main doc.

test1 is in main
test1_res was created in the response doc via ls
test1_res was removed and readded
resulted in test1_res blank in all response docs
now I am not able to populate field back from test1 on main, even if I used @docfield($ref,test) where $ref exists on response doc and test on main doc

Any ideas?

First, some info: changing fields on a form will never modify existing documents. Only when a document is explicitly changed by an agent or something else, the content will change. In other words: it just can't be that an existing field in a form, when removed and re-created on the SAME form (with the same characteristics) doesn't contain the same information as the previous field! Or the form/database/server is corrupt, but let's assume that's not the case...

Can you verify in EXISTING, UNMODIFIED documents that those items still exist? Use the Document Properties and look at the items on the 2nd tab.

Waitasec... test1_res was removed from the FORM or from the DOCUMENT?

What's the formula in Test1_res?

Actually, another small question

When I refresh the view using @command([toolsrefreshalldocs]) I get the error, "cannot convert text to number". I know that it is relating to an incorrect field value. Is there a simple way to work out where the problem is occuring. I know that the status bar shows the notesid. Can I somehow, overwrite the faulty value so that the entire view can refresh even if errors in some notes exist
