Need to replace the CD Drive on an Omnibook XE3
Hi,
I need to replace the CD Drive on an HP Omnibook XE3 laptop, but I've never done it before, has anyone ever replaced one, and how do I do it?

From the manual, it looks like the drive is held in place with screws on the bottom of the case; but they don't specifically address removing the CD, so you'll need to look carefully. Â I doubt that it's difficult -- but you DO have to find the appropriate screws :-)
In the worst case, you may need to dissassemble the notebook enough to "see" more details about the mounting arrangement. Â You can do this by following the instructions for removing the hard drive on page 115 of the manual, which is at:
