Need to replace the CD Drive on an Omnibook XE3

Hi,

I need to replace the CD Drive on an HP Omnibook XE3 laptop, but I've never done it before, has anyone ever replaced one, and how do I do it?

From the manual, it looks like the drive is held in place with screws on the bottom of the case; but they don't specifically address removing the CD, so you'll need to look carefully. I doubt that it's difficult -- but you DO have to find the appropriate screws :-)

In the worst case, you may need to dissassemble the notebook enough to "see" more details about the mounting arrangement. You can do this by following the instructions for removing the hard drive on page 115 of the manual, which is at:
