Tiny laptop recovery process running into errors, ( Tclone Oem harddrive recovery system) Not compatible with reload process.

I have a Tiny Mediabook M2600 Laptop with a dying Harddrive.

I went to replace the harddrive "Toshiba Mk4025GAS" with a Hitachi drive but when i go to use the Tiny recovery cd's i get the error

"This system is not compatible with this reload process
requested Reload Version -3.50"

I thought this may be down to it being locked to the paticular make & model of hard drive, so i've purchased a "Toshiba Mk4025GAS" the exact same size as the one i'm replacing but still i get the same error??

can anyone help?

It may be that the recovery cd is hardcoded with the serial of the old hdd.

You are going to need a standard win xp cd, I think.

Yes after much deliberation i've come to the conclusion that the ****s at tiny lock it to your HDD serial, which is just great so long as it's not the HDD that fails. thanks a bunch TINY!
