how to automate the creation of a virtual directory

Normally I just modify the network directory path in the MMC, but I would like to automate the creation of these virtual directories which needs to get updated each time I run a build.  The iisvdir.vbs which is included with IIS 2003 reads like it does what I want, but is there an equivalent for Windows 2000?
