Dell Poweredge Server System Manage CD

I don't have the Dell open manage cd to install the operating system. I have downloaded the ISO file from dell's site and burned it to cd, but it doesn't boot. I tried creating a bootable cd with Magic ISO with no luck. Please help me create a bootable CD from the dell ISO file.

The ISO is bootable; there is not an easy way to add boot capabilities since it is a custom Linux boot image.

Not sure what you used to burn, but I just downloaded the latest Server Assistant iso last week and it boots just fine. You might try burning it again with DeepBurner (http://www.deepburner.com/); it works like a champ. And it's free.

Quick question: are you sure you got the Server Assistant and not the OpenManage Software? The filename should be 4.5_ISM_A00.iso. If you got the wrong ISO, here is a link to the right one:

ftp://ftp.us.dell.com/sysman/4.5_ISM_A00.ISO

Also make sure your server is set in the bios to boot from CD (it should be by default, but check it anyway).
