I am creating a 2 node active /passive exchange clustering.I about to create MSDTC resource in the default group which has network name,Network IPaddress and quorum disk.  MSDTC resource is dependant on a physical disk.So can I use quorum disk for the MSDTC resource.I don't want to create a seperate MSDTC resource as this is a dedicated Exchange cluster.

It is not recommended to use Quorum disk shared with any other resource because:

The most important resource in the cluster is the quorum disk resource. The quorum disk resource maintains configuration data for the cluster, including the quorum log, the cluster database checkpoint, and the resource checkpoints. The quorum resource also provides persistent physical storage across system failures.

Thanks for the links,
But if you read the section cluster groups. It does say that we can use quorum disk for MSDTC resource.

"To provide fault tolerance for the cluster, do not add any other applications or cluster resource to the default cluster group other than the MSDTC resource, and do not use the quorum volume for anything other than the cluster quorum and MSDTC resource."

I know this but because of complication in quorum resource i have never used it while deploying exchnage in cluster environment.

Because evrything in cluster depends on Quorum and if that got corrupted then all cluster goes down.

As far as i have used i used 500 MB for Quorum and 1 GB for MSDTC while deploying exchange in cluster environment where total storage space available was 100 GB.

I have put the quorum and MSDTC on quorum disk which is 3gb with raid 0+1. I checked the few other forums and every one said its fine to have both of them on the same disk.

Any how I will give you the points for your time and help.
