getting a response.getAttribute from filter set in JSP

   I want to do a response.getAttribute in one of my java filters that i set in JSP.

Let say I do a response.setAttribute("name","sunmaster"); in a JSP page.

when do a post,it will go pass a java filter. In this java filter,whenever i do a response.getAttribute("name"), i got null value.

what went wrong. is it possible to do this?

    u should do request.setAttribute()...and request.getAttribute().. not response!
