Running 2 wireless cards in the same laptop

I have a toshiba laptop that has a built in wireless nic. I also bought a d-link wireless pcmcia card that I want to run. The reason I want to run this is I have a linksys wireless router that i'm connecting to and I also have a wireless transmiter that will only connect with the subnet mask being this is the reason I want to use the d-link card so I don't have to reconfigure everytime I want to get on the internet. When both wireless cards are in and turned on which ever one is turned on last fails to start with an error code of 10.

Please help is it possible to run 2 cards if not what other way can I do this so I don't have to reconfigure.

Yes you can run multiple wireless network and even together with the wired ethernet.
Just make sure that Windows detects it properly and you configure the network seperately to the desired connection.
