Profile not getting released when user logs on - ntuser.dat

Hi All,

2003 servers
citrix ps3

i have one user who seems to always have this problem, does not really affect anyone else.

it seems that when ever he hits 2 of my servers his profile is not released correctly. if he then tries to log back on and hits one of these servers he is logged on with a temp  profile.

even if he is not logged onto one of these server i am not able to delete his profile on that server as it says ntuser.dat is in use.

any ideas?

First off I would say to install UPHClean on all of your terminal servers:

but since this is only happening to 1 person that may not fix this exact problem.  Have you checked the security settings on his profile folder in comparison to others that are working fine?

aye they are fine, if i have deleted his profile on one of the citrix servers before he has logged onto it (after a reboot) once he hits that server and logs off he is back to square one....AGAIN!!!!!! :-(

have you tried giving him a new profile altogether?  Not just on the citrix servers, but from the location where his roaming profile is actually stored.. Try deleting that and deleting his profile from all of your citrix servers.

Thanks for the help McgIT, you pushed me down the correct route. eventually just created a new user, a little on the heavy side maybe but it has worked.
