windows small business server 2003 freezes at logon

When i try and logon to the server it just freezes and know one can access it, but if I don't log the server works as normal the server has all the latest service packs installed, also can login in safe mode ok, and the only other thing installed on there is Sophos SBE. Thanks for any help Anthony.

What kind of UPS do you have on your server?  Also, can you log in via RDP?

What about logging in with a different account?  Do you have more than one account that is a member of the administrator's group?  If not, you may need to create one via the command line.

Okay then, log on in safe mode and follow the Server 2003 steps outlined in this KB article to find out what service is causing this error:  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/883268
