Brother MFC-7820N wireless?

Hey all,

Ive been trying to make this printer work wirelessly. I purchased a DLink wireless print server which IMHO should work no problem, but after two days it stops. DLink said the printer is not compatible, Brother said the only way to make it work is with RJ-45. Basically typical help desk useless blab.

Anyone have a solution to this that will work?

Morphyuz,

Did you assign a static IP to the printer?  Please verify that the printer is connected to the print server by a network cable or how is it connecting to the print server?  Is the print server providing DHCP or is just acting like an access point?  What is it's configuration?  How is the print server connected to the main network, especially the router if you are using on to assign IP's?

If you aren't, use a static IP address for the printer.  The address should be just outside of the range that would be assigned by router, etc using DHCP.

The 2 day period of working sounds like a IP lease period.
