Outlook .pst dtat lost

I copied a user's Outlook.pst to a network drive before moving him to a new workstation.  When I bring up the pst on the new workstation, I get empty folders.

 - The pst file size reads 11.1 Megs
 - I tried scnpast.exe and got no errors
 - When I compact the folder it brings the file size down to 90 kb

I need this guy's old emails and contacts back...

Greetings, jrpnutt !

Check if you have move the correct PST file.  PST file is located in C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook folder.  The file name is usually Outlook.pst

If you moved the correct file, check if user has a archive.pst or .ost file.  The emails may be in those files.

If you are using an Exchange, emails should  be on the Exchange. Otherwise the emails are lost.

Best wishes!

I do have the correct file and I did a search and did not find any others.

Why would this file show 11 megs and not have any info in it?
