Hello Experts. Thanks for reading my question.
I'm logged in as an admin on a windows server 2003 / IIS 6.0 machine.
I've completed the setup for SMTP using the steps outlined here: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/WindowsServer2003/Library/IIS/e4cf06f5-9a36-474b-ba78-3f287a2b88f2.mspx?mfr=true
I've restarted the computer multiple times. I've checked administrative tools --> Services to make sure the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol service is started -- it shows automatic, started.
Still, when I go in to inetmgr, I don't see anything in the listing referring to "Default SMTP Mail Server" (or whatever it typically says). Here's what I see in the treeview on the left of the inetmgr console:
Internet Information Services
[minus] XXXXXXXXX (local computer)
[plus] FTP Sites
[plus] Application Pools
[plus] Web Sites
[plus] Web Service Extensions
What else should I be doing? What have I missed?
