SMTP Mail Setup - IIS 6.0

Hello Experts.  Thanks for reading my question.

I'm logged in as an admin on a windows server 2003 / IIS 6.0 machine.

I've completed the setup for SMTP using the steps outlined here:

I've restarted the computer multiple times.  I've checked administrative tools --> Services to make sure the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol service is started -- it shows automatic, started.

Still, when I go in to inetmgr, I don't see anything in the listing referring to "Default SMTP Mail Server" (or whatever it typically says).  Here's what I see in the treeview on the left of the inetmgr console:

Internet Information Services
[minus] XXXXXXXXX (local computer)
    [plus] FTP Sites
    [plus] Application Pools
    [plus] Web Sites
    [plus] Web Service Extensions

What else should I be doing?  What have I missed?

hmm. I've never seen that before, but there was a PAQ in the knowledgebase with the following accepted answer from Netman66 (who seems to know a lot about a lot):

Try running this command from the Run box:

    regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\inetsrv\smtpsnap.dll

If it works you'd better award the points to him!!

Whoah -- that did it -- thanks to Netman66, and thanks to you for pointing me to the thread!!!  You get the points.
