the log file says that it found two mailboxes homed on "FIRST STORAGE GROUP/MAILBOX STORE (APWP-EXCH01)"

if you check the status of the mailbox in ESM do you see a mailbox for the user whose pst you are trying to import. in other words, do the mailboxes exist in exchange before doing the import?

Rak..yes the user i want to import does exist.  I nver get to thepoint where i see the mailboxes to import into.  I assumed this was a rights issue bt now i am thinking it's an exchange issue.
don't worry about it fellas..i have decided that sinc ethis organization is only 2 servers (1 alredy coraked due to unrelated hardware issues) I am going to start from scratch and redo the org and the 2 exchange servers.
