DNS Server not working - Event ID 4004

I am having a problem with my DNS server.  It seems at boot i get a event 4004 error, but i have done some research and it states dns is just starting before it talks to AD.   This DNS server doesn't seem to have any other errors, but when i try to get dns from it i cannot surf the web.  We have a backup that is working in the meantime but how can i get this server working again?

I'm not sure what its not resolving names.

Please help!!

As per my website
http://www.petenetlive.com/Tech/Windows/EventID/Events/4004_4015.htm

you can ignore these errors

in services is the DNS server service running?
Can the DNS server surf the internet? (if not then you may have a network problem NOT a dns one)

If you are having Multiple DNS servers in your domain which are acting as primary and secondary DNS servers. Check either one is primary and others are secondary and secondary servers are updating the zone information from secondaries.

This issues causses if primary server is down and secondary zones are expired.

Revert back if any queries.
