What commands to use on Cisco Routers and Pix Firewalls
I need to find out some information on my Cisco Router and Pix Firewall. The internet connection is running slower then usual and I need to find out why. I need to CPU utilization, memory usuage, throughput, and how much bandwidth is being used. I am not sure what commands I need in order to get this information.
John;
show proc cpu --- this will give you CPU utilization
show mem sum -- this will give you memory utilization
show int ---- look for a 5 minute rate and that is your bandwidth over a 5 minute average.
Thanks
Scott

I see that these commands work in the cisco router but is it the same for firewalls? Is show int the only way to see the bandwidth being used? We suspect there may be someone who is doing some file sharing which is causing the problems for the others. How can we monitor this within the router to determine where it is coming from. I know it is possible because we did it before but I do not remeber what we did.
