SBS 2003 Exchange Not Working!

Hi all,

I am having a fairly big problem with our SBS 2003 Standard Exchange server, I can send email out from this server but I cannot recieve it. On the failed email address I get the following:

Technical details of permanent failure:
TEMP_FAILURE: Could not initiate SMTP conversation with any hosts:
[ip address.domain.com. (10): Destination address required]
[ip address.domain.com. (20): Destination address required]

I have done the following

Forwarded port 25 from the firewall to the SBS server. I'm not really sure what else I can do, I can also telnet in to the email server on this IP Adress.

Please Help!

This is likely a problem with DNS.  Have you the correct MX records for your domain?  You could check on http://www.dnsreport.com

Excellent suggestion, I suspect the problem is with DNS also-I will check that out now.

Did you create an MX record for your server in your Publicly Hosted DNS Zone File?  (usually with your ISP or domain registrar).

I'm assuming that you DO have a registered Domain Name.

You can also find a good testing site for your MX record here:  http://www.mxtoolbox.com

If you post an IPCONFIG /ALL to this thread, I'd be happy to take a look at your configuration and make any recommendations as well.
