Is it possible to install a particular piece of software on all the workstations on a network if they're in an Active Directory domain?

How do i do that?

you can use several thechnic for this :
install software with GPO ,it's good for small programs, update etc...
install with SMS server, if have one .
microsoft update server, good for OS updates.

if you have only active directory you can use GPO with script to push
and update programs
