Compaq Evo D500 CPU Fan

Here goes... the CPU fan will not get power... regardless of replacing it... constant error at bootup... almost as if it doesn't know it's their... any ideas?

    If you replaced the fan, then you should test the motherboard connector itself.  If it isn't putting out 12v, your motherboard is faulty.  If this is a new laptop, have it replaced under warranty.
