Faxing with Server2003 and Exchange 2003

I know SBS Server2003 has the ability for network faxing. is it possible to get the same functionality using server2003 and exchange 2003 or would we need a 3rd party software??  We have had so many issues/problems with sbs2003 we are considering making that change.

Thanks Steve

Yes, you will need 3rd party software to fax using exchange.
Another option would be to use windows fax service on the server in conjunction with outlook on your desktop

When you say that "another option would be to use windows fax service on the server in conjunction with outlook on your desktop", what exactly do you mean?  Will it allow for the Outlook integration where e-mails are automatically converted to TIFF files as the SBS faxing function does?  I assume this would be a situation where the fax would need to be setup to come into an individual computer and then they could forward them all, would that be correct?

On your server go to run, fxsclnt.exe Click help. Unders help topics go to Fax, Sending Faxes, Sending Faxes by Email. That will outline the procedure for you.

So this would allow us the same functionality that SBS 2003 offer for faxing while only running Windows 2003 Server & exchange 2003 SP2?
