Adding Exchange 2003 box to 5.5 Org.

Hello,

Background: Running Windows 2000 AD with exchange 5.5 (with ADC).

Want to add a Windows 2003 server running Exchange 2003 to the 5.5 org. The 2003 box is for a new AD site on the WAN, the 2000 AD and 5.5 Exchange will be eventually upgraded but not for while yet.

Is this as simple as merely adding the 2003 box to the existing 5.5 org during setup. I also have a few people moving to this site, I suppose I can move their mailboxes the mailbox store on the 2003 Exchange box?

Anything I should be aware of?

Thanks

In theory it should be as easy as put the CD in to the machine and choose the co-exist with Exchange 5.5 org.

However, you should read the upgrade documents, as there are some considerations to be made.
The major issue is that you must have one account for every mailbox, so you can have problems sharing the mailbox.
