Global scape FTP secure server and SSH2

I have setup Globalscape FTP 3.1 and it all runs fine.  I have a client who wants to use SSH2 as they require encryption.  I bought the SSH2 add on (SFTP as Globalscape refer to it) I have no idea how to set it up, I'm a bit confused as to what I need to setup to enable SFTP.

I have created a key through globalscape and set the sftp settings to use the key and a password

Do I need to give the client the public key, if so how do they use it

Can sftp be used through a web browser

I'm really looking for a step by step guide

Hi,

Maybe you can look at a user's guide on this page..
umm.. It's on the far right of the page under resources.

It doesn't really mention anything about the actual setup, its more outlining the features

I have taken a look at the links the version is for 2 but I'm on 3.1, some settings are similar, The links are not really filling in the gaps

My questions are:

When SFTP is selected, Can it be accessed using a browser?

Should the address be sftp://serversip?

If I have selected password as authentication method, does this mean there is still encryption or is it only when I use select public key

Do I need to email the key to my customers

Do they send me a key ?

There is an option to create a site key and a public key, where do they come into play?

I have managed to set it up.

SFTP cannot be accessed through a browser

The customer emails the key and the key is then imported into the FTP server

You don't need to worry about a site key and publi key other than importing your customers key and setting the user to use the public key

Yes, I think there is still encryption, isn't there?

I think you misunderstood me. I had asked "WHY"??
Can you find this out from him by asking him to post here the reasons??
If he thinks none of my comments helped, then he is welcome to close it but he has to have a reason.

Regards,
