I have a user that is not getting some e-mails from the outside. The people sending him e-mails receive a NDR with this error.
Delivery Failure Report Your document: Re: Fw: Tonight!
was not delivered to: email@example.com
because: Error transferring to emailserver.MYDOMAIN.COM; SMTP Protocol Returned a Permanent Error 554 mail server permanently rejected message (#5.3.0)
I looked it into and according to microsoft (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=895857
) the issue lies in my firewall configuration which we just migrated about 2 months ago. I submitted a ticket with Cisco and I am waiting to hear back.
However, has anyone seen this error and knows what else might contribute and what else I can do to rectify this.
