Exchange 2003 SP2 - Recipent getting some text in the body duplicated.

I have an Exchange 2003/SP2 installation that has been working fine.  Recently I have some users bring an issue to my attention where the e.mails they are getting have some of the words in the body of the e.mail are duplicated.  Completely random and not pattern to the body.

It happens when sending mail internally or receiving from external.  When looking at the sender's sent items - everything looks as it was typed.

My admin is going to try and turn down the AV for exchange is running to see if that does anything.

    Accepted Solution

AV is the first place that I would look.
Due to the way that they work, this sort of thing isn't uncommon. However, as they put their hooks in to the system, you have to remove them - simply disabling the application is often not enough.
