hp 7310 network printer wont install

i work in an office with 4 pc's. all winxp. 3 install and print fine with hp7310 all in one that has its own print server. 1 pc will not install. it continually loops me thru the install. it detect the printer and the right settings(IP address) but during the install it will go back to the beginning of the install and ask to search for a printer......

i had a firewall on but now ive shut down just about everything running that would interfere?
something must be lurking out there......

went to HP support but not much help.
please help. im supposed to be the geek around here. im not lookin good right now;)

uninstall the printer and software, then run sfc /scannow from the run box
or test the printer on another PC, to be sure about it's status.

printer is currently working on 3 pc's. 4th pc just keeps looping thru the install over and over again. It detects the printer, and the IP settings but during the install it will loop back to the beginning. some software must be blocking?

try deleting all the printer drivers first, with :
http://amistad.kyocera.co.uk/pages/info/kdl/utilities.asp?Mode=Query&Type=Driver%20Deleter%20Utility

then reinstall
