Oki C5150n Web Interface

My mother's boyfriend just brought over his Oki C5150n printer, and we hooked it up to my network. The printer is working fine, and I can even access the web interface through the printers IP. The only problem is, I cannot log in. He said he never set a password, so I am trying to find a default username and password for the prtiner, but none of the manuals even hint at such a thing. I searched all over the internet, and I found one guy that said the password is the last 6 digits of the MAC address, but this didn't work. Does anyone know how I can get the default username and password for the web interface?

you can contact them with your problem here :

These direction are good for the C5150n.

1) Open Internet Explorer and type in the IP address of the printer, hit enter.

2) Click on the Network Summary link on the left hand menu.

3) You will see the MAC address in the second or third line down.  It will look something like this: 00:80:87:64:38:05

4) Write down the last six digits.  DO NOT worry about the colons.  So the above address translates into password 643805.

5) Click on LOGIN button on the left hand menu.

3) Enter username: root

4) Enter passoword: 643805 (from my example - use yours)

On the password . . . if the last six digits have letters in them try it as all upper case and if that does not work then try it as all lower case.

If all else fails call Oki.  1-800-654-3282 . . . option 1, 1, and 1.  They tend to answer fairly quickly and the support is stateside so you don't have to worry (normally) about working through some weird accent or someone telling you understand you when in fact they do not.

Good luck.

Thank you very much. I was trying the MAC address as the password, but I don't think I ever tried root through the web control
You are very welcome.

Just tried this and also works with a MPS420b
