Cisco 2800 router

I have a Cisco 2800 router with an ADSL WIC. The question is: Will i be able to add another ADSL WIC to connect to another ADSL line and route VPN traffic to a different line than Internet traffic?

I will hire another ADSL line, and i pretend to use one of them to VPN traffic, and the other one to Internet traffic.

VPN remote sites have known IP range addresses, so i plan to configure static routes.

Is this correct? Do i need an special or extra software license in the 2800 to add another WIC?

    Accepted Solution

You should be able to add another WIC, you can find out by looking at the box and see if there is a slot. So the answer would be Yes. To use another ADSL WIC in the same box, you don't need extra licenses but for VPN you will need them if you don't have it right now.

Yes, there are empty slots. And yes there is one VPN working right now, so, i assume i already have the correct license.
