Home ADSL Wireless Router with VPN capability...

Dear all,

My Draytek 2600G wireless router is giving up the ghost and i'm looking for a replacement.
I would like some advice on what people currently think the best home Wireless router is for performance, wireless capability and useability.

Things I currently need are:

VPN capability to perform a permanent VPN between my own ADSL network and my friends ADSL network across town. We currently both have Draytek Vigor 2600G routers with the VPN connected and its great, so will need something that can carry this on.

I play a lot of online gaming so somethng that is capable of sustaining past pings and has low latency.

I have ADSL Max (up to 8mbps) so it must support that

I use a wireless connection so a really strong / powerful wireless connection would be needed.

Inbuilt switch would be useful

It must be an ADSL modem / router combined i.e. has the port to plug the RJ11 DSL cable into - i'm not for having a seperate ADSL modem to plug in.

Must be able to support me opening up ports into my network from the outside, i.e. RDP / FTP access etc

Sorry for all the questions, but when it comes to deciding on hardware I really don't know what is good and what isn't so good so after some good advice on the best DSL routers to pick from.

Thanks in advance

For best results you are better off with 3 boxes.
1.modem
2. firewall router with vpn and extensive logs
3. wireless access point

Modem should be close to the NID box, router at your "NOC", and the AP at a good RF coverage spot.
