When I send a Contact Distribution List the recipients see all the email addresses contained int he list instead of the name of the list.

I create Contact Distribution List: DL_MyList
It shows up as:;;;;

How can I create a local distribution list and the only thing the recipients see is the name of the list?

    Greetings, clintonbrigham !

    Put the Contact Distribution List in the BCC field.  The the email addresses will be invisible to recipients.

    Best wishes!

    Sorry not the solution I am looking for. I would like the Distro List to show up on the recipients To: field as DL_MyList. I do not want the To: field blank , as the case would be if I placed it in the BCC field, and I do not want all the email addresses showing up in the To: field instead of the Distro List name.

    There is no setting within Outlook that will allow you to do what you want.
