User moved email messages to root of Mailbox in Outlook 2003

I have a user who accidentally moved a large amount of email to his Mailbox root in Outllok 2003. Of course, when you click on Mailbox, you only see your Outlook Today, but none of the moved messages. If I search for one of the moved messages using advanced find, it shows up in a folder called IPM_SUBTREE. How can I get these messages moved back to the user's Inbox?

Using MS Exchange 2003 SP2 and MS Office 2003 Pro.

Thank you

you can only export 1 mailbox or 1 folder with exmerge.....

but

more simple,

on mail root properties,

uncheck display "res://C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\1036\outlwvw.dll/outlook.htm"
then you see as a normal folder the mailroot

you could use EXMERGE to archive in a PST then move between PST and the inbox

I don't want to extract the whole mail store to .pst. This problem is only affecting one user. The messages that were moved are there, we just can't figure out how to see them so they can be moved back to the user's Inbox
