Move exchange from one server to another

I have MS exchange 2000 on a existing 2000 server and am planning on moving it to new hardware.  What steps do i need to follow to accomplish this.

Install Exchange on the new server and move the mailboxes accross. Then execute the steps to remove the first exchange server from the organisation.
