Personal Oracle 8i Download

Since this is no longer supported by Oracle, no download is available for this Oracle version. Does anyone know a site where this can be found. Oracle 9i and Oracle 10g require at least 3 GB of space. The laptop I want to install it on is running windows 2000 has just 1.5 GB
of disk space so Oracle 9i or 10G install does not have enough space

If you do not have access to a website with the Oracle 8i download can you direct me a site or give me instructions on how to install Oracle 9i or Oracle 10g on this rather "small" machine in the available space

Thank You

I think you have to try to install a "Custom" installation of Oracle.
The Standart Edition 10g is the smalest edition,
because Personal is in fact Enterprise edition without networking.
If you choose "Custom" installation you can leave many components.

Another idea is to use 10g Express edition. It is a subset of the whole functionality.
may be some investments in External HDD for your computer will help you.

Also if you chose 10g on laptop install the Windows Loopback adapter before the installation.
Read the installation docs for that.
