I am looking for advice on requesting development proposals. &nbsp;What have you all found that:<br />
1) Does work?<br />
2) Does NOT work?<br />
3) Pitfalls?<br />

I plan on requesting only fixed-bid proposals. &nbsp;I am only looking at requesting help on the part of the application I do not know how to do and do the rest myself to protect the concept. &nbsp;They will not know enough about the overall project (only the component) to be able to potentially steal it from me.

Programming includes both the specifics of the language you’re using, like Visual Basic, .NET, Java and others, but also the best practices in user experience and interfaces and the management of projects, version control and development. Other programming topics are related to web and cloud development and system and hardware programming.
