check user login and logout time windows xp

Does anyone know if there is a way to check user login and logout time on windows xp?  We have a situation where it would be beneficial to our company to check on a specific workstation that was only used by one person to see when they logged in and out each day.

Hi sigkappu,
it really depends on the level of auditing you set on your domain: anyway, the first thing to check is you Security log; look for Event Id 528 especially.

Also if it makes a difference, we are running windows server 2003 w/Active directory 5.2.3790.1830.  I am not sure if there is a way to collect the information we need, but if possible I would like to go back about a year. Any idea if there is an AD snap in that might show me logon and logout times from the server side?

If you did not activate "Account logon events" logging in your domain, then you will not find evidence on your domain controllers of a user's login.
