Network Audit

Good Day,

I was asked to do a network audit for a company we are set to merge with.  What tools do you use to evaluate/check a network when you first start a position or get a new client?  There isn't an IT person on site, just a consultant they use.

    I suppose it depends what exactly it is you are trying to audit... The whole network?

    Perhaps these links might give you some ideas:

    The software I use is ManageEngine's OpManager

    This allows us to carry out WAN monitoring, switch monitoring, netflow analysis
    and detect, diagnose and resolve network performance issues before they turn into costly downtime.
    We have found this software very useful, and it is reasonably priced for what it does.
