Clustered Servers in a Workgroup

I'm looking at a Windows network and all of the servers & workstations belong to a workgroup.  There's no domain.  Two of the servers are running Windows 2003 Standard Editioin and they are both running the cluster service.  All the PCs are in a workgroup.

I thought that for clustering to work the servers HAD to be in a domain and/or had to be domain controllers, and/or dns servers.  None of that is the case.

I want to convert the network to a domain.  Any suggestions as to how to proceed?  Do I just pick one of the clustered servers and promote it to DC?

Do not use cluster nodes for domain controllers - it can be done, but it's generally not recommended.  Use another server for your domain controller.
