Outlook 2003 Outbox Subfolders?

I have a user that has major hangs when sending email.  Today I found a subfolder under the OUTBOX.  Could a subfolder under the OUTBOX cause a hang when sending email?

It's possible, but unlikely.  Try moving the folder to a PST, still hangs?  If so, try a clean restart of Outlook using command line:

/cleanfreebusy

Clears and regenerates free/busy information. This switch can only be used when you are able to connect to your Microsoft Exchange server.

What is the OS?  What version of Outlook?  Outlook Express?  Need more information...

Windows XP Pro SP/2.  Office 2003 SP/2.  Microsoft Outlook, not Express.

Greetings, kessdarln !
>>Could a subfolder under the OUTBOX cause a hang when sending email?

Yes, it can interrupt the send.  Outlook is trying to send the folder, and stops sending other emails. Remove the folder.

Best wishes!
