Using SIP account with SIEMENS HG1500 PABX trough Asterisk

hello

I have a SIP account that I can use with a softphone like x-lite or sjphone.

Within the same network I have a SIEMENS HG1500 PABX.

Can Asterisk be configured with SIEMENS HG1500 PABX so that any of my colleagues can use this SIP account with their hardware telephones connected to SIEMENS HG1500 PABX

Thank you

The HG1500 is an interface card not the PBX itself. http://www.telefonix.co.uk/documents.html has some good information on these cards.
Do you have one of these interface cards?
What is the model of PBX you have?

If you do have this card you should be able to configure the siemens exchange to forward some calls starting with a particular prefix (8 for a SIP call for example) onto asterisk. The HG1500 only supports H323 so you will need to compile in h323 support into asterisk http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+H323+channels

If you dont have one of these interface cards then you can link the siemens exchange to asterisk via analogue lines or a T1/E1 interface. You will need to purchase additional hardware for this though.

Helllo

PABX is HiCom 150 with card HG1500 V.1

In that case install h323 on Asterisk and you will be able to link the hicom pbx to astrisk.

It is theoretically possible. The problem with h323 is it is quite old technology and is basically becoming obsolete.
