windows display Shut Down screen when using Terminal Service
I have a strange problem. When I tried to remote access to 2003 server in other office, I got the Windows ShutDown screen. I input the Reason for ShutDown, then it logged me in. The server didn't shutdown or restart. Is there anybody know what's going on here? Thanks,
ASKER
yeah
hmm sounds like just a bug to me, check to see if any errors were logged in the viewer

The only event that looks suspicious is Event ID 6008, Description: The previous system shutdown at..... was unexpected. But nobody shut down the server. Really strange!!!
i wouldnt be stressed mate, if it keeps happening just diable the event tracker

is "disable event tracker" the only way to solve this problem?
i dont know - i just want to see if that stops the errors

i went to gpedit.msc > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Display Shutdown Event Tracker, but it is currently "Not Configured". Do i need to Disable it?
yeah disable it, its on by default
ASKER
ok, i did that. but i have to try for couple days to see if i still get that error since that message just popup once in a while, not all the time. i'll let u know the result. thanks,
no worries let me know how you o
ASKER
