Is there anyway to setup the exchange server to delete items in the deleted items folder that are over 30 days old.   We are using Exchange 2000/SP3?

The links for msexchange.org are for mailbox retension settings.  The server can be setup to hold deleted mail for a number of days before it deletes the message so the user can recover the deleted item.

What I want to do is take the messages in the deleted items folder in outlook and check to see if they are 30 days old and if they are delete them.    Is there anyway to do this?
