Zetafax cutting off text

We currently have Zetafax version 9.1 installed on W2k3 box.  We mainly use it with our Microsoft Business Software Navision.  When we fax to certain outside vendors specifically 3 vendors they receive the fax with some text missing.  Even the coverpage that we have stored on the Zetafax server is not coming clearly. It seems as if they have paper jams on the receiving fax.  So far the other vendors have not complained about our faxes.  I have changed out the modem from an External US Robotics 14Kbps modem to internal US robotics V.92 modem.  This swap did not help, obviously since I am looking for assistance.  Any help would be great!

Is Zetafax reporting that a "complete" acknowledgement has been received from the far end?  If so then I don't think there is a problem at your end because the stream of data has been received fully intact.  If so the resolution of your sending fax might be too high for the other end to handle - reduce the sending resolution.

I will let the users know to try a lower resolution.  I have set the modem on the server to send outgoing from default to 33.6kbps.  That has not helped.  I also tried the configuration of flow control with hardware and that did not work.  I will wait for what the users say on the resolution suggestion.

The best speed to send faxes for compatibility reasons is at 14.4kbps.

Are the people complaining using pc based faxing, or are they using traditional fax machines?  If traditional fax machines, do the machines have a buffer for storing the fax before printing it out?

Quite honestly I have asked one of my users to find a point of contact for me for one of the vendors we are having issues with, but she hasitates of finding a good P.O.C.  Anyway as what I was told they are using traditional fax machines.  I will reset the speed to 14.4kbps, I was unaware that was the standard.  But I have talked to my users and let her know about the resolution and she stated that this has been on going before I took over, which is now 7 months.  She stated that it has never worked properly.  She thought she would bring it to my attention.  Well, I will wait on how it goes with choosing a lower resolution when she faxes to one of the vendors.  I will post the results.

Thanks for keeping us informed.  Don't forget that the status of the fax as received by Zetafax is important to know.  Did the fax machine at the receiving end acknowledge complete receipt of all pages?

The fax does state completed on the user outbox.  I have not had a chance to monitor it from the Zetafax Server.  The user stated that they will just fax their faxes to those vendors manually.  Thanks for the help though!
